Two Darien
High School musical ensembles have been invited to perform at Lincoln Center on
Monday, February 5. The Darien High School Chamber Orchestra, directed by Jane
Minnis and the Darien Tudor Singers, directed by Christopher Andrade will be
performing at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall as part of the Beijing Student
Jinfan Art Troupe performance. Director of Music, Richard Sadlon comments that,
“The students and teachers are very excited to be performing in such a
prestigious venue and are grateful for this opportunity to share their music
with the student musicians from Beijing .” The Chamber Orchestra will be
performing the “Brook Green Suite” by Gustav Holst and the Tudor Singers will
be performing “MLK” by U2 and a traditional spiritual entitled, “Keep Your
Hands on the Plow.” The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
