DHS Jazz Ensemble Performance, Sidewalk Serenades, Masked Singers and DHS Music Mentors

This video performance of the Darien High School Jazz Ensemble performing "La Quema Del Diablo" was prepared and edited by lead alto sax senior Matt Bergwall and freshman drummer Nikhil Talwalkar. Mr. Jon Grauer is the Jazz Ensemble Director.

Holmes 4th grade violinist Samantha Heins serenades on the sidewalk with a little help from her friends. Mrs. Krista DiPietro is the Holmes string teacher.
As part of their eLearning activities, the DHS choral classes under the direction of Mr. Christopher Andrade, created their own version of “The Masked Singer.”  Using their iPads, students recorded solo vocal performances with their identities hidden by digital “masks” created using FlipGrid online video creation software.  Students who gave permission had their videos shared with their classmates, who could vote for an audience favorite and try to guess the identities of the performers.  Included in the mix were some surprise “guest performances” by members of the DHS teaching staff and administration.
